Bolin needs an episode like “Sokka’s Master…”
In many ways, Bolin reminds me of Sokka. They are both lighthearted characters who care about everyone in the group. Both are sweet and caring but have shown that they can buckle down when needed. And of course, both are the comedic relief in the show.
With that being said, I believe that Bolin needs an episode like “Sokka’s Master.” It’s unfortunate that Book Two will only have 14 episodes and the writers will probably use those 14 episodes to build up another incredible storyline. I just really like Bolin and I feel he did not have a chance to grow as much as the other characters did.
Bolin needs an episode that is partially devoted to him trying to reach the potential that I know he has. Bolin brings something new to Earthbending. Unlike most Earthbenders, Bolin isn’t stubborn or tough. Rather, he is a sweet and gentle soul, atypical to Earthbenders. His style reflects this as he is lighter on his feet than most Earthbenders. He shows promise in that he does not need to touch the ground to Earthbend. He has the potential and I feel like this potential should be explored in Book 2.
Bolin should learn how to metalbend and he should perfect his Earthbending. It would give us an opportunity to get to know Bolin on the level that we have yet seen.
